This website and associated social media platforms are owned and operated by Friends of Buffalo Creek, Inc. (FOBC), an independent nonprofit organization.

FOBC is aware of CAPR 190-1 ICL 25-01, paragraph 11.3.1, which restricts Civil Air Patrol units from independently managing public social media accounts. Accordingly, FOBC has established this website and its associated Facebook and Instagram pages to provide families and the community with information about activities, programs, and events related to the units we support.

These platforms are not managed or controlled by any Civil Air Patrol unit. Instead, they are administered solely by FOBC in its capacity as a separate nonprofit partner organization.

FOBC maintains formal partnerships with host schools and uses these platforms to keep families and the public informed about youth leadership and educational programming.

FOBC is a legally distinct nonprofit organization that was established prior to the creation of the supported units. It is not a pseudo or informal “friends of” organization, but rather a duly incorporated and independent entity operating in support of youth development programs.
