Friends of Buffalo Creek, Inc. also maintains a community Fridge & Freezer to store perishable food items that we receive to distribute to the school community and beyond.

 

Our “Through Community” Campaign was our inaugural community service campaign which we launched during the early stages of the COVID Pandemic.

PPE Give-a-ways, Food Give-a-ways, and Cook-outs

During the height of the pandemic, our team went out to support our community with food give-a-ways at the Delavan Grider Community Center, PPE Give-a-ways at the Tops on Jefferson Ave & Save-a-lot (Broadway), and free Cook-outs at various BMHA Housing Projects throughout the Buffalo area.

Friends of Buffalo Creek Inc. donated funds paid for groceries and PPE.

Grocery Delivery Service

During the aftermath of the horrible Massacre which occurred at the Tops of Jefferson Ave., our team loaded up our school vans to deliver groceries to those with no means for transportation as well as those who relied on the Tops on Jefferson and could not access their groceries.

Friend of Buffalo Creek Inc. donated funds paid for groceries, fuel, and drivers.

  • Partnered with Rotary Club of Buffalo

    The Rotary Club of Buffalo provided direct support as we prepared groceries and care packages for impacted families.

  • Partnered with Binghamton Community

    Community members in Binghamton held a Vigil and came together collect and gather donations for the families of Buffalo. Two members drove 2.5 hours to deliver these donations to Buffalo Creek Academy for us to distribute to the Buffalo community.

  • Used Buffalo Creek vans for grocery delivery

    The Buffalo Creek vans were used so that we could reach families who did not have the ability to travel to alternative grocery stores.

  • Volunteers worked round-the-clock

    Friends of Buffalo Creek staff balanced the school day with the delivery service, often working day and night to fill delivery orders.
